If you are deaf or cannot speak
The free Engelsiz 112 app reaches 112 by video call (with staff who know Turkish Sign Language) or instant message. You can store your medical details and relatives’ contacts in the app in advance.
When lines are busy
- Do not tie up 112 unless it is a real emergency; lines get busy after an earthquake.
- Text rather than call to reach family, and check in with your shared out-of-town contact.
- Write these numbers on paper and keep them in your emergency kit; put family contacts in your family plan.
